About the Role:
Join our dedicated team at Brookhurst Animal Medical Center as a Veterinary Receptionist! In this vital role, you'll be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all.

Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain an organized calendar.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with accurate information.
- Process payments and handle client records efficiently.
- Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.
- Provide clients with educational materials and resources on pet care.
- Ensure compliance with all veterinary regulations and protocols.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using scheduling and electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a love for animals.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Must be available Friday-Sunday as needed with no restrictions for part time

Located on Brookhurst St. and Ball Rd, Brookhurst Animal Medical Center was purchased on January 24th, 2024 by Dr. Lauren Heit. Since then, our head veterinarian and staff have treated thousands of your furry friends! Pets are such an important part of our families and they deserve the same level of service and attention that humans do. That’s why we are committed to providing animals with compassionate, quality veterinary care.
At our veterinary clinic, we are focused on the well-being and safety of animals above all else. Dr. Lauren Heit, our head veterinarian, emphasizes the importance of nutrition, exercise, and healthy habits for pets.
