We are a privately owned veterinary practice that takes pride in practicing high-quality medicine while creating meaningful relationships with our clients and their pets. Job Responsibilities
As a veterinary receptionist, your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting clients and their pets in a warm and welcoming manner
- Answering phones and assisting clients with questions
- Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment schedule
- Checking clients in and out
- Processing payments and invoices
- Communicating with clients regarding appointments, medications, records, and other needs
- Making an effort to learn and remember our clients' names
- Building strong, lasting relationships with clients
- Communicating with the veterinary team to ensure clients receive accurate information
- Collaborating closely with other receptionists and the entire hospital team
- Keeping the reception area organized and welcoming
- Helping maintain an efficient front-desk workflow
- Learning about veterinary services, medications, preventative care, and hospital protocols
- Assisting with client education and making sure clients understand their pet's care
- Handling client concerns professionally and working with the team to find solutions
- Looking for ways to improve the client experience
- Helping wherever needed to support the hospital and our team
Our Team

We are also big believers in taking care of our employees. Our breakroom is stocked with meals, snacks, and drinks for the team to enjoy.
We are a privately owned practice, which allows us to focus on providing high-quality medicine and creating the type of workplace and client experience we believe in.
Our Schedule
Our hospital is open Friday-Tuesday and we are closed Wednesday and Thursdays.
We are conveniently located in Anaheim, just down the street from Disneyland!

Brookhurst Animal Medical Center has been providing care to the pets of our community for over 20 years. Located on Brookhurst St. and Ball Rd, Brookhurst Animal Medical Center was purchased on January 24th, 2024 by Dr. Lauren Heit. Since then, our head veterinarian and staff have treated thousands of your furry friends! Pets are such an important part of our families and they deserve the same level of service and attention that humans do. That’s why we are committed to providing animals with compassionate, quality veterinary care.
At our veterinary clinic, we are focused on the well-being and safety of animals above all else. Dr. Lauren Heit, our head veterinarian, emphasizes the importance of nutrition, exercise, and healthy habits for pets.
